Event information
This popular event is an amateur boxing tournament held to raise funds for local charities. No profits go to promoters or organisers.
This year the event will be headed by a bout between Terry Campese, Canberra Raiders, and Ben Alexander, ACT Brumbies. The full card will consist of amateur bouts with adult fighters from ACT and interstate.
All proceeds from the evening will be shared between Capital Region Muscular Dystrophy and the Terry Campese Foundation.
Capital Region MD is a not for profit, voluntary organisation working to make everyday life easier for children and adults living with one of the many forms of muscular dystrophy, their families and carers. This is a debilitating disease for which there is no cure. Much of our work goes to developing treatments and creating opportunities for kids with very challenging disabilities to play weekend sport like any other kid.
The Terry Campese Foundation provides support to kidsexperiencing difficult circumstances who are struggling to overcome hardships and/or health issues in their personal lives.
Due to current ACT Government regulations, the eveningevent will only be open to boxers 18 years of age and over. Bouts will also be held earlier in the day prior to this event.
