Event information
Previously known as Level 1, the re-vamped Bronze Coach is aimed for entry level and club coaches. If you are new to boxing you must begin at this level before progressing through the coaches pathway.
The Bronze Coach course is presented by Boxing Australia's Coach Facilitators who will deliver a standardised course curriculum that has been approved by Boxing Australia and the Australian Sports Commission.
Requirements
Prior to undertaking the Bronze Coach course, coaches are required to complete the below courses.
- Australian Sport Commission Online General Coaching Principles
- Anti-Doping Fundamentals (only complete this if you have not completed it prior)
- Anti-Doping Annual update (current year)
- Safeguarding Children and Young People in Sport Induction
The last 3 points above can be found on the Sport Integrity Australia online e-learning platform.
- You will be required to create an account to complete these courses (or if you already have an account please login).
- Should you have any issues with the Sport Integrity Courses please reach out directly to Sport Integrity Australia. Noting that Boxing Australia does not manage the content or platform for these courses.
- Following the completion of the Sport Integrity Australia courses you will be able to download the e-learning certificate.
Eligibility Criteria
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current Working with Children/or Vulnerable People Card (or equivalent pending on your State)
- Completed the above course requirements
The eligibility criteria is to be provided to the Coach Presenter prior to the commencement of the Bronze Coach Course.
NOTE: You will not be able to attend the course if you have not completed the prerequisites
