Purpose

The Level Two Coaching Course is available to adults (18 and over) who have already held Level One accreditation for at least 12 months. This Expression of Interest is to determine if there is sufficient interest to hold the course. You will be contacted if we receive sufficient interest to proceed with the course, where you will be able to confirm your attendance and make payment. 

Pre-requisites

Attendees need to provide evidence of the following items prior to commencing the course:

  • Boxing Australia Level One Coaching accreditation (held for a minimum of 12 months)
  • Basic First Aid (statement of attainment containing HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, HLTAID010 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support and HLTAID011 Provide First Aid). Applications to attend this course in the ACT can be made online at https://stjohnact.com.au/available-courses-booking/ or from a similar course provider.
  • State/Territory issued Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) or Working With Children (WWC) card.  Applicants in the ACT can register online at https://mydigitalaccount.force.com/WWVPNDIS/s/.  
    Applications take some time to process so you need to do this well in advance.

Please note that achieving these pre-requisites can be time consuming and should be organised well in advance of the course commencement date.

Accreditation

Participants assessed as having satisfactorily completed the course material will be recorded as Level-2 qualified by Boxing Australia and will receive a Coach Identification Card.

In order to corner competition boxers in tournaments, coaches must also be a current financial member of Boxing ACT or another Boxing Australia Member Association. Applications for memberships can be completed online at https://www.boxingact.org.au/registration/

Duration

The course will run for two full days over a weekend.

Cost

The course costs $500, payable to Boxing Australia.
