Insurance Cover
Boxing ACT maintains insurance cover as follows:
 | Sports Injury/Personal Accident cover for boxers,
coaches, referees and judges.
This provides limited benefits in the event of death, disability or injury
occurring during sporting events arranged by Boxing ACT. This includes when
taking part in training, or competing; when travelling to/from a training
session, competition, social event or administrative activity, or when staying
away from home for such purposes; and when involved in fundraising or
volunteer activity. Loss of earnings is not covered. For injury, there
is a maximum of $2000 payable for non-Medicare medical and dental treatment.

| Professional Indemnity cover for coaches,
referees, officials, first aid personnel.
Provides indemnity against legal liability claims arising from a breach of
professional duty, errors, or omissions, in connection with the sport. Limit 5
million dollars.

| Sports Public Liability cover for the
association.
Provides cover for legal liability to pay compensation to third parties
because of personal injury or property damage in connection with the
association's activities. Limit 10 million dollars. |
These policies are applicable worldwide EXCEPT the USA
and Canada.

These policies provide cover ONLY for incidents that
occur during the period of insurance. If you are not a financial member at the
time of an incident, and are therefore uninsured, you can not make a claim in
respect of that incident. For coaches in particular, we strongly suggest you
renew your annual membership PROMPTLY at the end of each calendar year.
